Occupational Safety Training Institute (OSTI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is located in Reno, Nevada, which was formed in 2006 with the intent of providing quality hands-on training for safety professionals. We have plans to offer our programs in an environment unlike any other, which is designed to provide not only academic learning but practical experience in the chosen profession. Our overall business goal is to position ourselves as a recognized leader in assisting our students with the training and experience to fulfill their dream of financial independence.
Our intention is to develop a community to encourage these displaced veterans and other in a family environment in which they can obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to lead a productive life. Through this unique program, veterans gain social skills and the self-respect for today’s society. OSTI is going to offer a variety of educational and learning programs and entrepreneurial opportunities. Our intention of starting this project is to encourage these displaced veterans and others back into productive society and self-respect.

Participants enter a business and/or vocational program as they work through their course. Building on their selected course, residents will work in their desired field of study. Most programs are designed to be completed within 24 months with a minimum of 12 months. On average, participants will have a minimum 1500 hours of education and experience upon completion.
